What is Mother Divine?
Maharishi commented on the role of ‘Mother’
“All happiness, all dynamism, all love, all that a man is in his field of activity, in his practical life, is the tree of the seed sewn in his soul by the mother. All energy, all activity that a man displays in his action, all efficiency, all happiness, all love—that is given to him by mother.”

Mother is the universal impulse of natural law that gives support, strength, nourishment, wisdom, encouragement, protection. Whether it is the Mother in the home or the woman in the work place, every woman’s essential nature is harmonizing, loving, understanding, intelligent, creative, resourceful and much much more.
Why was the Mother Divine Programme created?
Just as the Mother in the home is essential for the wellbeing, security, and nurturing of the whole family, so did our world family need a Mother, but not just any Mother. Our global family needed a Mother whose nourishing, harmonising quality reaches far beyond the walls of her home—a Mother whose influence radiates from the transcendent to take care of the world on a profound, universal level, a Divine Mother.
The Maharishi Effect and the Power of Mother Divine
When many people practice Yogic Flying together in a group, they radiate an influence of coherence and positivity to their surroundings. This is called the Maharishi Effect.
When a group made up entirely of women practice Yogic Flying together, they generate an effect that is totally unique—a powerful, all-pervading, universally nourishing influence that reaches far, far beyond the boundaries of the group. For this purpose the Mother Divine Programme was created—a full-time in-residence program for women Yogic Flyers.

The members of Mother Divine live and work together so they can practice the Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi programme together, in a group, for many hours, morning and evening, every day.
It is a highway to higher states of consciousness for the individual participant and a powerful generator of coherence for the whole world.
Mother of Mothers
Maharishi has said,
“The word divine is associated with unboundedness, liberation, eternal liberation, free from boundaries, unbounded, absolute. With these qualities Divine is associated, the word Divine. When we say “Mother Divine”, then we mean Mother of Mothers, Mother of all that there is. A Vāstu Home for Mother Divine is a Professional Requirement
Naturally, we would want to make sure that Mother Divine’s influence is as powerful as possible. How can we do that? By making sure that every group of Mother Divine is living in a Maharishi Vāstu building. In the same way that you would want a professional you hire to have optimal conditions to do their job for you effectively and efficiently, just like that, we need Mother Divine to be in Vāstu. Living in Vāstu is a professional requirement. We want all of Mother Divine’s coherence to shine through and reach as far and as many people as possible.
