Main Building and Annex

The Vāstu design consists of two stone buildings in the characteristic style of the Limburg region. The main building will comprise of comfortable accommodations for 50 Mother Divine, with a large meditation hall as well as a lecture hall.

The U-shaped annex will house the kitchen, dining hall and course facilities with 12 rooms for guests. In three additional rooms Maharishi Ayurveda treatments will be offered.

An Ideal Site

After years of searching, a plot of five hectares was discovered in 2017 at Paarloweg 3 in St. Odiliënberg—in close vicinity to MERU, Maharishi’s World Capital in Vlodrop. The river Roer, at the land’s northern border, flows westwards. These are—according to Vāstu—auspicious qualities that make it the ideal site for a new Mother Divine home.

The site radiates serenity and offers unobstructed views in all directions in an enchanting environment of Limburg province.

Vedic

Architecture and Design

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi restored the Vāstu principles to their wholeness by systematically evaluating the surviving traditions of Vedic architecture in India as well as the ancient Vedic texts. As a result, the complete system of Vedic architecture, based on the full value of Natural Law, is once again available to us and will be applied to the new buildings.

Sustainable Building

Sustainability is a core characteristic of Vāstu architecture: solar roofs and rainwater collection, eco-friendly construction materials and furnishings, landscaping with native trees, bushes and flowers to attract bees and insects, as well as our very own apiary.

An important component of Maharishi Vedic architecture is building with natural, non-toxic materials suitable to the local climatic conditions.

Living in a Vāstu Home

The Vedic Science of Building called Sthāpatya Veda or Vāstu Vidyā, is Nature’s own system of structuring space and harmonizing human life with cosmic principles. Such buildings bring that quiet influence of order and harmony into their living spaces.

The coherence of a meditating group is strengthened by living in a Vāstu building, thus enhancing its inhabitants’ peace-creating effect.
